Families

  • Can I hire my home assistant directly?

    Families are not permitted during the time of service or within one years after the home assistant has left the bebbli, without the prior written consent of the bebbli. If family chooses to hire during time of service, family will be required to pay a placement fee of 15% of the net monthly compensation of the home assistant, for a period not to exceed one year.

  • What type of background screening does bebbli perform on the home assistants?

    Every home assistant goes through the following background screening

    • Criminal background
    • Driving history

  • Do I need to pay access fees for using bebbli platform?

    Families don’t pay access fees for using the platform

  • Can I cancel a service that I have newly requested or ongoing?
    Yes, you may cancel service anytime, however there are some restrictions. You can find details in “Service Cancellation” section 7 of the Terms of Use.

  • What is the frequency of my payment for services?

    Please see guidelines in “Family Payments” under section 5 of the Terms of Use.

  • How do I terminate a service if I don’t want to continue with the home assistant?

    We hope that the reason for termination is not because you are dissatisfied with our service. If you need to terminate a service, simply call us at 844-4-BEBBLI.

  • What types of tasks am I prohibited from request from the home assistant under bebbli service?

    Please see “Excluded Services” under section 4 of the Terms of Use.

  • How do I request bebbli service?

    To request service, kindly return to the home page and enter the zip code where you want the service and follow the steps to complete a request.

  • Who are the home assistants?

    Home assistants on the bebbli platform are local folks that come from many different backgrounds to offer their skills to help you. The home assistants have all been background screened and have completed onboarding process which included identity verification.

  • Who do I contact if I have questions about a service?

    If you have any questions regarding any service, please contact us at [email protected] and someone will get in touch with you right away.

  • Can I use the home assistant at other location other than my primary address?

    It depends, you will have to discuss with the home assistant and if she is okay with it. Please keep in mind that you may incur extra charges, such as travel expense..

  • How do I report a problem with my home assistant or job?

    Our team will ensure that your services are delivered to your satisfaction. However, if you have any problems with a home assistant or the work, please contact us at [email protected] and we will get back to you right away.

  • How do I submit a complaint?

    Our goal is to connect you with a home assistant that will exceed all of your chore expectations. If for any reason there is a complaint, please let us know at [email protected] and we will work with you towards resolution.

  • What if the home assistant and I disagree on the chore as described?

    If there is a disagreement in the service between you and the home assistant, please bring this to our attention immediately at [email protected]

  • What if I'm not satisfied with the job?

    We hope that is not the case! Of course, you can let the home assistant know if your expectations weren't met so they have the chance to improve. If you don't agree that the job was done according to the description, you'll have the option to dispute the job. Please contact us within 24 hours at [email protected] with as much information and photos you have.

  • What if the home assistant is running late or does not show up?

    We hope this is a rare occurrence but if your home assistant is running late, please attempt to contact your home assistant first and if you are unable to get to the home assistant, please call us at 844-4-BEBBLI or send us an email at [email protected]

  • How do I edit my profile information?

    Your profile can be edited in the app. Just go to the profile page. Here you can edit every aspect of your profile. Just keep in mind that if you change your email or telephone number you will need to reverify.

  • How do I reset my password?

    You can easily reset your password within the application. Log into your profile and click on Account.

  • How do I pay my home assistant?

    All payments for completed jobs are processed within the app using the payment method listed in your account. The payments are processed once the service is competed for one-time service, however if the service is reoccurring, the payments are processed biweekly.

  • If I need to change my service schedule, can I just change with the home assistant?

    All changes to your schedule start with a conversation with your home assistant, but it will only take effect when completed in the app. This is very important so that you can be billed correctly.

  • Does my home assistant see my email, phone number, or address?

    The home assistant will able to see your contact after you accept to hire the home assistant.

  • Have home assistants gone through a background check?

    All home assistants listed on the bebbli platform have been screened for criminal background and driving.

  • What do I do in case of an emergency?

  • How do I report an accident or safety incident?

    Drugs and Alcohol
    Bebbli has a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy for all home assistants. If you suspect that a home assistant from the bebbli platform is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please remove yourself from any situation you deem dangerous, then contact us.

    Weapons
    To keep everyone in our community comfortable, bebbli has a strict "No Weapons" policy. This means that if any home assistant possesses a weapon in plain sight during the service, regardless of whether possession is legal where they are, they will be removed from the platform. We want to be sensitive in our community - it’s hard to know what someone else is or isn't comfortable with. The presence of a weapon might make another community member distressed, and bebbli is devoted to keeping our home assistants and families secure and comfortable. If you witness possession of a weapon on a bebbli job, please let us know immediately at 844-4-BEBBLI.

  • How is Maid Share Inc. related to bebbli?

    Maid Share Inc is the company and bebbli is one of the products we offer.

  • I submitted my request over 24 hours and I have not received a response

    We apologize for the delay, we are doing our best to get you the right Home Assistant. Some of the reasons we experience delays are 1) there are no available Home Assistants due to high demand, 2) there is low number of Home Assistants in your requested area, 3) the amount you offered is low, 4) the job description you provided is not clear, and 5) the “must haves” you selected are too many. For 1 and 2, we are constantly advertising to bring on board new Home Assistants daily. For 3, 4, and 5, you can log into your account to update.


 

Home Assistants

  • What do I do in case of an emergency?

    If you are in a safety-related incident or are in a situation that you believe threatens your personal safety, seek medical attention or call the authorities by dialing 911 or your local non-emergency assistance line immediately. Afterward please report it to us directly so our Field Operations Team can follow up.

  • Do I need personal liability insurance?

    Yes, every home assistant is required to carry a personal general liability and workers compensation insurance.

  • How much commission does bebbli charge?

    Bebbli charges 18% of the job fee. For more detail, please go to “Use Fee” in section 5 of the Terms of Use.

  • Can I solicit employment from my family employer?

    Soliciting employment with bebbli family is prohibited during the course of service and up to a period of 12 months after last service ends.

  • Do I need background screening?

    To ensure a safe community for all, all home assistants are required to go through criminal background, drug screening and driving history background screening.

  • Do I need to pay access fees for using bebbli platform?

    In order for us to support the bebbli Platform and related services, including a broad spectrum of operating costs and safety measures like insurance and background checks, we request access fees from the home assistants. The access fee is only paid when a home assistant is on active service with families and it is $2.99 per month. See detail in “Home Assistant Access Fee” in section 8 of the Terms of Use.

  • Can I cancel a service that I have accepted?

    Cancelling a service after acceptance can put a strain on our families because they depend on us to help them. Service can be cancelled on medical or family grounds, however if too frequent, we may terminate such home assistant from our network, see detail in "Cancellation By Home Assistant" under section 7b of Terms of Use.

  • What is the frequency of bebbli payment to home assistants?

    Home assistants are paid on a biweekly basis. A Checking Account is required. It may take 2-3 business days before your deposit shows in your account depending on the processing speed of your bank.

  • How do I terminate a service if I don’t want to continue with the family?

  • What types of tasks am I prohibited from performing under bebbli service?

    As much as we would like to do everything possible to make our families comfortable, there are tasks that we cannot perform see detail in "Excluded Services" under section 4 of the Terms of Use.

  • How do I get paid by bebbli?

    Bebbli can payments through direct deposit as well as paper check.

  • How do I sign up as a home assistant?

  • Can I only work for families in my area?

    Our home assistants are assigned to the families in their local zip code area and up to 5 miles radius as far as they specify that they are willing to travel.

  • What are the requirements to become a home assistant?

    Requirements - All home assistants must:

    • 18 years old or older
    • Ability to perform all home assistant tasks
    • Satisfactory assessment result
    • Complete safety online training
    • Smartphone

  • How do I know what jobs are available?

    We will inform you by email or phone text about new service requests in your area.

  • Am I responsible for bringing the supplies and equipment needed to complete the tasks?

    No, families will supply the necessary materials to complete a chore.

  • How far in advance will jobs be available?

    Families currently have 3 options when posting a new job request:

    • Now - Providers are expected to arrive and start within 1 hour to a day.
    • Within a week - Scheduled and expected to arrive within 7 days.
    • Within a month- Scheduled and expected to arrive within 31 days.

  • How do I know when I am chosen for a job?

    You will receive an email message when you are chosen by a family to complete their service request. Accepting a job request does not mean you have been chosen by the family yet! You are only confirmed after you have completed an interview and received a job offer email.

  • How do I edit my profile information?

    You can easily edit your profile information on your profile page. You need to log in first. On the dashboard, click your name in the right top corner of the screen and select profile to edit your information.

  • What if I get to a chore location and the family isn't there?

    First, always attempt to contact the family, if you cannot reach the family then contact us at 844-4-BEBBLI.

  • How do I know that I am safe on a family's property?

    We trust that you use your best judgment for every situation. If you encounter an unsafe working condition or situation, please leave the area immediately. Let us know the situation and we will investigate - we don't want to send our home assistants into unsafe conditions.

  • Who do I contact if I have a non-emergency situation that I will like to report?

    For all non-emergencies, contact us at [email protected]
    In case of an emergency, call 911 or find the assistance line you need in your service area.

  • I have created my account for sometime and I have not received a job request

    We know that you are looking forward to your job on bebbli, we apologize and we are doing everything to get you a job as soon as possible. Some of the reasons our Home Assistants experience delays in receiving a job request are 1) there is low request in their local area or the distance they are willing to travel, 2) their profile is not complete and the system cannot match them to a job request. For #1, we are advertising constantly to bring more families to the platform.

  • I have received some jobs but when I try to accept the system says I don’t have the documents required for the job.

    Most of the families that are looking for Home Assistants are looking for people with two important documents 1) clear background and 2) liability insurance. So if your profile does not have these documents it may delay you. This is why we strongly recommend that you consider getting these 2 documents to increase your chances.

  • If I have a question about a job that is offered, is there a way for me to communicate with the potential client before accepting? Or is accepting the only way to be able to communicate to ask a question about the potential job?

    The only time you can discuss with the family about the job is during the interview. You have to accept the job to start the communication process. If you have general questions you can look at the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of our website to see if you can find answers to them.
